Elizabeth's practice is devoted exclusively to estate planning, trusts and probate law. She serves a wide range of clientele on everything from simple wills, powers of attorney and healthcare directives to complex estate plans and after-death estate administration.

Legal Background

After receiving her J.D. in 1975, Elizabeth became a clerk for the Chief Justice of the Alaska Supreme Court. She then worked as an attorney representing the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services for the Alaska Attorney General's office.

From 1978 to 1988, Elizabeth was an attorney for the Contra Costa Legal Services Foundation in Richmond, California. She handled cases involving government benefits, landlord-tenant disputes, and consumer and family law. Major litigation included suits to prevent eviction of elderly Medi-Cal recipients from nursing homes, plus several published cases.

Elizabeth joined Kaus, Kerr & Wagstaffe in 1988 where she handled all aspects of civil litigation on cases involving insurance, business torts, real estate and personal injury.

She joined Kelley & Farren in 1992.

Elizabeth is active with several community organizations, including the Canal Alliance and Homeward Bound of Marin. She is also a violinist with the Tennessee Valley Orchestra in Mill Valley.

Fluent in French and Spanish, Elizabeth has served three times as an interpreter for a Bay Area medical team in Guatemala. She is married with three children.
